Being highly creative, I often find this bit the hardest- there are just so many ideas to love, especially when it comes to weddings. It helps to now look at your limitations as a couple. Is there a particular time of year you need to have your wedding? Are you restricted to a certain location or city? Are you finding this process overwhelming? Do you need some creative direction? How do these physical aspects affect the ideas you’ve begun to form? The answer to many of these questions can help you direct design decisions.
In this industry, imagery is often one of the easiest forms of communication. Images will serve, as a foundation for decision making later on, so pairing your imagery with your needs at this early stage will enable you to truly begin to shape your wedding day.
Troll through all the inspiration you have collected and begin culling based on your limitations. At this stage I often bring in Pinterest using it as a platform for digitally displaying imagery. But if you’re like me and you’re a tactile person you might want to print out some images, collect fabric swatches and display them on a big board somewhere they can be easily seen. Have your limitations listed in priority from non-negotiable to flexible and keep them handy.
